The hotel is located on the beachside suburb of Glenelg in Adelaide, the state capital of South Australia. Adelaide is in the south of Australia and is about 1,400 kilometres from Sydney and 730 kilometres from Melbourne by road. The hotel is located close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and tourist attractions. Getting There International visitors will probably enter Australia through either Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne Airports. Adelaide is also served by most major domestic carriers. Visitors can also elect to drive or arrive by train or bus. Visa Requirements All visitors to Australia require a valid visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). International visitors are reminded that if driving inland, there can be large distances between towns (fuel, food, water etc). If driving, drive on the left side of the road and adhere to local speed limits which vary between states and are enforced by local police. The wearing of seatbelts is mandatory for all vehicle occupants in all states. The maximum blood alcohol limit while driving, in all states, is 0.05%. The electrical supply in Australia is 240 volts AC at 50 Hz. A two or thee pin plug is used. Most large hotels provide 220/110 volt outlets for shavers/dryers etc. Data comm ports or wireless are usually also provided. Australia uses the metric system, thus all speeds, distances and temperatures are given in metric units. Australia uses three time zones (EST, CST, and WST). Some states also move to daylight saving.
